Badaam Halwa (Almond Fudge)

INGREDIENTS

• 2 cups Ground Almonds
• 1 cup Water
• 1 tin Condensed Milk
• 1 tablespoon Ghee
• 1 teaspoon Saffron strands
Almonds for decorating or 1 tblsp flaked almonds

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine ground Almonds and Water in non-stick sauce pan and allow to soak for 30 minutes.
  2.  Add 1 tin Condensed Milk and Ghee and place over medium heat and stir for 20 minutes until the Halwa pulls from the pan and has a stretchy texture.
  3. Add Saffron and cook for another 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly, form into desired shapes and decorate with whole Almonds or almond flakes.
